"...
I thought I could save the world. But, I realized that I
couldn't... "
This
was one of my godmothers favorite quotes! However, little
did she know that she saved my world!
Heriberto
Oquendo, Jr. was intiated into the mysteries of Yemaya
on September 14, 2002. His Godmother Lucy (Yemaya) and Iyubona
Caridad (Ogun),
Introduced him into "La Regla de Ocha".
His
mother Martha (Yemaya) and sister Priscilla (Ochun)
followed suit after he was initated.
"La
Regla De Ocha" or "La Regla Lukumi" were founded
in the Yoruba Spiritual Beliefs. These beliefs materialized
themselves in Cuba. LUKUMI is praciticed worldwide!

Espiritismo
Espiritismo
is ancestor worship practiced in the carribean and the world.
In Puerto Rico, it is called "mesa blanca". One
of the tenaments of espiritismo is called the "cuadro espiritual"
or "spiritual court".
Espiritistas
believe in enlightening their own spirits and the spirits of others
through "misas" or spiritual masses, where espiritistas
communicate with the spirits.
An
espiritistas altar is known as a "boveda". This
is
where
an espiritista pays homage to their ancestors and spirit guides
by way of mediation, and prayers!
